God's Simple Plan of Salvation:
The Bible Says Anyone Can Go To Heaven
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13
In order for you to know for sure that you will have eternal life in Heaven when you die, you must first admit that you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) We all sin.
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" (Romans 3:10) For example lying - we all have told lies in our lives. That, is a sin.
Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife… nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. (Exodus 20:12-17)
You must also admit that if you had to pay for your sin debt, you would have to pay by spending an eternity in the lake of fire (Hell).
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelations 20:14-15)
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelations 21:8)
Eternal life is a gift. (If we had to do anything in order to attain eternal life, then it would not be free and therefore not a true gift.) Just like a gift must be received in order for it to be yours, everlasting life must be accepted from Jesus. He is holding out the free gift of eternal life for all.
Jesus shed his blood, died and paid for all of our sins; then he conquered death and resurrected the third day.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
You must admit that you are a sinner, and that you deserve to pay for your sins in Hell. You must believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins, paid your debt, and rose again. You must understand the fact that the only thing keeping you out of Heaven is the sin of unbelief, that only He, (Jesus Christ) can forgive and give you a home in Heaven.
If salvation is FREE, and the only thing standing between Heaven and Hell is that you need to ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and receive Him as your ONLY Lord and Savior, would you waste that opportunity for salvation?
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13)
If you believe that Jesus Christ died to pay for your sins personally and that He rose again the third day, and that Jesus is the only way to Heaven, then you can be saved.
Simply tell Jesus that you realize that you are a sinner, call upon Him with your whole heart, asking Him to save your soul from eternal punishment, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior.
Here is an example:
"Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and if I die with my sins, I deserve to go to Hell. But I also know that you died for me on the cross, you were buried and rose again the third day. I ask you to come into my heart. I accept your free gift of salvation. I thank you for hearing my prayer. In Jesus name, AMEN!
By the way…SALVATION IS FOREVER!
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:28.
We serve a God that cannot lie. He tells us very clearly in His Word, that if we call upon Him, He would save us, and no man can ever pluck us out of his Mighty hand.
So, what is next?
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (Acts 19:5)
Baptism is simple obedience to His commandment. It has nothing to do with salvation, but has everything to do with STARTING OUT YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE RIGHT!
